Estonian Academy of Arts (EAA) is the only institution in Estonia offering education at university level in the fields of art and design.

In its activities the Estonian Academy of Arts is aiming towards development of creative work and research in various fields of art and culture and has in recent years taken decisive steps in the field of architectural and design research. The university is monitoring changes taking place in the society and international trends and is proceeding from these in opening and amendment of curricula, wherefore contemporary competence-based curricula, study quality and creative study environment are priorities of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Partners in these activities are public as well as private sector.
Mission of the Estonian Academy of Arts is development of Estonian visual culture, preservation and innovation of its traditions. In Estonian Academy of Arts the field of advanced training is consolidated into the Open Academy and research and development activities are supported by the Design Innovation Centre.
