Meeting of Heads in Lund, autumn 2008
The meeting of heads of schools took place 24th – 26th of September 2008. The host was the Design Faculty in Lund University.
The tradition the last years has been to run the meeting of the coordinators at the same time and place to gain more efficiency in the network. This has been very successful.
Wednesday evening the 24t was the arrival and informal gathering close to the very fine hotel that the hosts had proposed.
Thursday 25th started with a common meeting, presentations about Lund University, the town and history. Then the network operations were run formally with Halldór GÃslason presiding over a common meeting.
On Friday 26th the meeting moved to the faculty premises on campus and delegates got a round tour of the facilities and the two meetings were run separately to deal with specific issues.
Cooperation with industry became a much discussed subject and people agreed that the schools do not have common guidelines about intellectual property rights of students or institutes when they do projects in cooperation with the commercial realm.
